摘要：Medicament inhalation is considered the gold standard for the local treatment of numerous airway diseases, owing to the increased lung selectivity of this approach (i.e., reduced chance for systemic side effects). However, one major disadvantage of inhalation therapy is the short duration of drug action at the target site, therefore requiring frequent daily drug applications/inhalations, which are often in conflict with the convenience and compliance of patients.
